Vibe Closure Systems launches industrial pail and drum closure portfolio

Dubai-based Vibe Closure Systems (VCS) has launched a portfolio of closure technologies for industrial pails and drums used in chemicals, coatings, lubricants and other applications.

The company is led by David Pritchett, who spent 25 years at Rieke/TriMas Packaging, including ten as president, and Riddhamn Baahri, who served as vice president of business development at Rieke/TriMas from 2014 to 2021.

VCS said its operating model combines product development and intellectual property protection with production through established manufacturing partners. The company is working with Mold-Tek Packaging Limited in India to manufacture high-precision caps and closures.

Its initial portfolio comprises four platforms. AccuPour is designed to provide greater pouring control and reduce glugging. GardaLok is a tamper-evident closure system for plastic drums, while GardaCap is a security-focused cap system for steel drums. UltraGrip covers a range of industrial drum closures and cap seals. Patent applications are pending for key technologies, according to the company.

“We know this industry extremely well, and we believe industrial closures are ready for a new generation of technology,” said Pritchett, CEO of Vibe Closure Systems. “VCS was created to challenge established thinking through better engineering — solving practical problems and delivering meaningful performance improvements for customers and end users.”

Commercialisation is under way, with VCS holding discussions with selected customers and distributors in North America and other international markets. The company has not disclosed production capacity, launch volumes or a timetable for broader commercial availability.

The launch places VCS in the established industrial closure market, focusing initially on pouring performance, tamper evidence, security and handling. Its approach is intended to address specific performance requirements through proprietary closure designs and external manufacturing partnerships across multiple industrial sectors.
